Make a difference this Christmas
A message from our interim CEO 🎄
As we approach the final days before Christmas, there’s still time to make a lasting difference for young women and girls in Scotland.
Give the gift of making change in young women’s lives. You can help send young women to parliament, fund important research, and strengthen our work to challenge misogyny and inequality in Scotland.
And if you’re looking for a last minute gift for a friend, colleague or relative, please consider making a gift in their name. You can print a gift certificate and place it in a stocking or under the tree, or send the certificate by email or text. It’s a simple way to give a gift that supports equality, amplifies young women’s voices and helps build a fairer future.
A message from our interim CEO
“Throughout 2025, the Young Women’s Movement has continued to champion the rights, leadership, and experiences of young women across Scotland. As we approach the festive break, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to everyone connected to our community. Whether you took part in our programmes or attended one of our events, if you engaged with our research and policy work, shared your story, or you simply supported us from afar, you have helped to shape a Scotland where young women’s voices are heard, valued, and respected.
None of what we do is possible without the commitment of our team, board, volunteers, funders, partners and, most importantly, the young women who shape and inspire our work. We’re so grateful for your continued trust and support.
This year hasn’t been without its challenges. Gender-hostility, funding pressures and increased demand for our work are growing. But we move into the year ahead hopeful and steadfast in our commitment to collectively challenge inequality, lead radical social change and re-imagine our world for all young women and girls. We hope that our Young Women Demand Manifesto will deliver the changes young women need to see in the coming year.
2026 will see the return of our CEO after a period of maternity leave as well as the launch of new and exciting projects including our eighth Status of Young Women in Scotland report, the findings of our 100-year Young Women Remember project and many others. We hope we can depend on your continued support.
From everyone at the Young Women’s Movement, we wish you a happy and peaceful festive season - and a wonderful start to the year ahead.”
